Getting started is as easy as 1-2-3:

1. Register a Seller’s account – it is absolutely free and places you under no obligation of any kind;
2. Pass our quick exam (it's easier than you think). We just ask you to send us five samples of your best work for evaluation. Don't worry, our review process is very informal. Just send us your best work and you'll do fine!
3. When you pass the test successfully, you can upload at your convenience, 24/7.

Each image you submit is reviewed by our inspectors. Once it's approved, it appears in your account and in our site's search results where it's made available to buyers so you can profit from your work!

Terms and Conditions

By submitting Supply Agreement and uploading mages to your account on our site, you guarantee the following:

You are the sole creator and/or owner of all uploaded images;
You are 18 or older;
You have all required documents (Model's Release, Copyrights, etc.) in proper order.

Image Requirements

In order for your image to pass our qualification process and become available for Buyers, it must meet the following criteria:

Photographs:

Size not less than 3.8 MP (2400 x 1600);
JPEG/JPG format;
Color space: RGB.

WARNING: It is forbidden to artificially enhance and/or distort an image in any way to increase its size or resolution.

Vector Images:

Vector Image must be submitted as a ZIP folder containing:

Preview JPEG file (min 2400 x 1600);
.EPS or .AI File.

Photos of people must have a Model Release.

Author's Level System

DepositPhotos.com has developed a graduated scale for all of our approved Image Authors. As you sell more images you will automatically advance to the next level. The more photos you sell, the higher your level. The higher your level, the more money you can earn with each sale. See the chart below for ranking descriptions:

1 level		Up to 500
2 level		500-5000
3 level		5000-25000
4 level		25000-150000
5 level		150000+

Exclusive Author Status

To earn the highest commissions we offer, you can choose the "Exclusive Author" option when registering as a Seller (or later, in your Profile Settings). After acceptance, commissions for your work will increase automatically. In addition, your images will be displayed within our "Exclusive Authors' Work" filter and your status will be changed to "Exclusive Author" in your user profile.

According to the Exclusive Supply Agreement, the works provided by you for selling at the site must not be sold, distributed, licensed, or made available for use, either for free or a fee, to anyone for any purpose. However, it does not mean that you have no right to use the images within your personal portfolio or creation of products for sale (providing that such products do not require previous licensing of the used image).

As an Exclusive Author of DepositPhotos.com, you agree not to make available any images to any other site, company, group or individual, either for free or a fee, including displaying images in forums and galleries. You further agree to transfer all your images from other stock photo sites (if any) to DepositPhotos.com.

If your image was purchased by Credits, your commission depends on the image size and your Author's level:

Important Notice: All Supplier's commissions are calculated on the actual price paid for a specific image and NOT its standard retail price. If a Buyer received a discount on a particular image, the commission for that sale would be based on the exact price he paid after the discount, not on the retail price listed with the image. The commission percentage itself does not change, it's simply a matter of the same commission on a lower base price, resulting in a lower commission payout.

Pay-by-Phone (SMS Images)

SMS Images are images purchased through short text messages. A buyer sends an SMS message to us, and the selected images (up to 15) are immediately credited to the Buyer's account where they can be downloaded at any time.

If your image was purchased by SMS, your commission depends on your Author's level:

Earnings Request

You may withdraw funds from your account at any time provided your account balance is $50 or more. Funds may be deposited to a PayPal, Moneybookers or Webmoney account.

Please allow up to five (5) business days for your funds to arrive at your designated external account. If you have not received your deposit within five (5) business days after submitting your withdrawal request, please contact our Support Service.

Licensing

A Standard License put some restrictions to the Buyer connected to usage of the purchased images. If the image is intended for use beyond the scope allowed by a Standard License, a Buyer may obtain an Extended License for the image(s).

As the Image Author, you control whether or not an image is eligible for purchase under an Extended License.

According to the terms of the Extended License a Buyer is able to use an image:

In Multi-user mode (use of more than one copy of the image simultaneously);
For unlimited reproduction of the image in printing;
For creation of products for sale (limited quantity);
For creation of electronic goods (templates, postcards, etc.) for sale.
